Welcome to the Bloody Mary Society

Here you will find everything you need to know about the legendary and beloved Bloody Mary. How to make them, how to mix them and how to master them. All courtesy of Bloody Mary, herself.

The Farmers Market Mary

Bloody Mary made with pickle juice

Mary’s dear friend Renee Belanger of Bloody Good Bloody's created this masterpiece as a light and refreshing option. The garden veggie infused vodka and locally pickled veggies for garnish make this Bloody perfect for the summertime - or, as Mary says, any time.

Pickle Juice Bloody Mary - the Farmers Market Mary

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ fluid ounces garden veggie and garlic-infused vodka (1 ½ shots)
  • 1 ½ fluid ounces pickle juice (1 shot or about 3 tablespoons)
  • 1 dash onion powder
  • 2 dashes garlic powder
  • 4- to 5-dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 dashes Louisiana-style hot sauce
  • V8® 100% Vegetable Juice (about 12 fluid ounces or 1 ½ cups)

How to make it

Servings: 1

  1. Add the vodka, pickle juice, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire and hot sauce to a cocktail shaker. Add the vegetable juice. Add ice to the cocktail shaker. Cover and shake to chill.
  2. Fill 1 glass with ice. Pour the vegetable juice mixture into the glass.
  3. Serving Suggestion: Garnish with either a mix of some fresh farmers market pickled veggies or being that I'm a Midwest girl (WI born and raised, transplanted to MN), garnish with a pickle, cheese and a beef stick!
  4. Ingredient Note: Garlic powder dissolves and distributes the flavor much better and more quickly and is less harsh than fresh garlic in this case. Also I prefer garlic powder to garlic salt, to try and lessen the sodium as much as possible!

Renee's love affair with the Bloody Mary all began one day when she had the itch to make one at home. That day was 10 years ago, and let's just say she's been perfecting her homemade bloody ever since.
In April of 2014, she launched Bloody Good Bloody's, to highlight and share all the beauty that is Bloody Mary's. The community quickly took off, growing larger than Renee ever expected and proving that her passion and creativity for the classic cocktail is a journey many love to follow.
