Kansas City BBQ Bloody Mary

Vodka Bloody Mary

Behold! A bold, BBQ inspired Bloody that’s sweet and smoky with the perfect amount of heat. Garnished with skewers of BBQ favorites like ribs, cornbread and corn on the cob, this one definitely deserves three cheers.

BBQ Bloody Mary - Kansas City Style

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 1/8 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 1/8 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 12 fluid ounces Spicy Hot V8® juice (about 1 1/2 cups), chilled
  • 4 fluid ounces vodka (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground chipotle chile powder 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt

How to make it


Servings: 2

  1. Pour 1 teaspoon cider vinegar into a shallow dish. Mix 1 teaspoon each paprika, brown sugar and salt on a plate. Dip the rims of 2 glasses into the vinegar then coat with the paprika mixture. Fill the glasses with ice.
  2. Stir the vegetable juice, vodka, Worcestershire, chipotle chili powder, garlic salt, celery salt and remaining cider vinegar, brown sugar and paprika in a pitcher. Season to taste. Pour the vegetable mixture into the glasses.
  3. Serving Suggestion: Garnish with skewers of BBQ-inspired bites, like BBQ ribs, cornbread cubes or 1-inch slices corn on the cob. Or try skewered onion rings, curly fries, jalapeño poppers, pickled jalapeño slices or crispy cooked bacon.
